David here! I'm a Principal Product Designer with front-end dev skills. When I'm not slinging pixels, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, in the midst of a board game, or nerding out about whisky.
Ever since I was young, I wanted to transform unstructured data into clean, performant designs.
Ok, maybe that’s not exactly how I put it at 7 years old... But I have always enjoyed making complex things more approachable. Just ask any friend to whom I’ve taught a board game.
My outlet for doing this has long been design, mixed in with front-end dev. That journey began in the late 90's via a Star Wars prequels fan site that I built with friends anticipating the release of The Phantom Menace. I'll be the first to admit it: it wasn't amazing. But even the most epic franchises have to start somewhere. My website was alright though!
Anyways, I enjoyed the process so much so that it set me on the path which ultimately led to my career in UX and product design.
I spent a decade at agencies (including my own) working with dozens of clients across hundreds of projects, and soaking up everything I could. Using countless tools and platforms along the way gave me invaluable first-hand insights into what works in the real world - and what doesn’t.
Now, I have taken that experience and combined it with my passion for design to drive product efforts across design systems, feature work, and AI integrations.

Since you’re still here we should probably just chat? If you’re in the Portland area, let’s grab a coffee. And if you’re not, well, send me an email or reach out on LinkedIn.
